Lakers handle Grizzlies

February 7, 2011 - The Lakers continue their winning streak as they win their second game as a part of their 7 game road-trip. They beat the Memphis Grizzlies pretty easy 93-84. All of the starters for the Lakers scored double digit points. Memphis had beat the Lakers 2 times this season out of 3, but now it's tied up two wins for each team. Kobe Bryant led the team with 19 points.

"Some of it is about coming on the road, being together, and having this type of a crowd like we had (Saturday)," coach Phil Jackson said. "It was a big crowd, enthusiastic crowd and playing to that level is expected of us as champions. That's where the guys get their biggest thrill as players."
The Lakers are on a good start to their road trip, and they can't afford to lose to teams like the Grizzlies anymore so it's great that they got a solid win. Let's hope this effort continues.
