Kobe Leads the way vs. the Blazers

February 23, 2011 - The Black Mamba showed up at game time as usual, as he had 37 points in the overtime win against Portland. Ron Artest also had a big game with 24 points, and Gasol had 18.

The team overcame a 10 point deficit late in the game, which helped them to rally around and get the win. This snaps the Blazers six game winning streak, the best of their season.

Bynum, who only had 6 points, blocks a shot during the game

It's good to see that the team is getting their play back, and not looking lazy like they were at the end of their road trip last week. Even though an overtime win is not how we would ideally want it, a win is a win. That is all that  matters at this point in the season, as the Lakers have to get their record as good as they can and hope the Spurs lose!

The next game is against the Los Angeles Clippers in what looks to be a lopsided game, or so we hope.

  1. This was a very important win against an always dangerous and always banged up Portland team... I think the blazers will defeat the spurs or mavs in a series.
